Where did it all begin.....

How Blondie B's went from doorstep deliveries during lockdown to shops, local markets and a well established cake shed in Airdrie — and now postal orders across the UK
If i said lockdown to you, what does it conjure in your mind? If you said hoarding toilet rolls, Tiktok dances, zoom quiz's and baking you'd probably be right. This is where my love for baking began. I started modestly with a few a Victoria sponge's and cupcakes then progressed to scones and choux pastry. Each few days, i would make up treat boxes and deliver them to friends and family. Leaving little boxes of joy on their doorstep.
When lockdown was over, the thought of giving up didn't even occur to me. A business name and social media pages were created by the help of a very talented graphic designer.
I continued to bake through my full time job. Eventually falling pregnant and never going back to the bridal world. Could this little baking stint give me an income? i had to try my hardest to find out.
Breaking into markets and shops has never been easy. There are so many well established businesses already working so hard to provide excellent products. I knew i had a tough time ahead of me.
I now have a regular monthly spot with the wonderful Makers and Merchants team in Lanark Agricultural Centre. I have also established the Blondie B's cake shed from my home. Giving adults and children an opportunity to buy fresh bakes directly from the honesty box system.
So what next? Well postal of course. I have been requested to start a website and postal system for so long it was only a matter of time. Thank you so much to the wonderful customers i have built along the way. This is only the beginning of the next chapter for Blondie B's
